Brewcaddy
Pourover brewing assistant for iPhone

Brewcaddy

Connects to your Bluetooth scale and guides you through every pour. Steps move on when the water's in, so a slow bloom never throws off the rest of the cup.

A guide that keeps up with you

recipe → scale → live guide

Build a recipe once: how many pours, how many grams, roughly when. During the brew, Brewcaddy watches the scale and moves to the next step when the water is in, not when a countdown says so.

  • Pours that even out

Each pour aims for the running total in your recipe. Pour a little long and the next one asks for less; run short and it asks for more. Nothing to correct.

  • Waits when you do

A step's timing starts when the step does, and drawdown waits for your tap. Let the bloom sit longer and the rest of the recipe still lines up.

  • Bloom, pulse, continuous, drawdown

Mix the pour styles you actually use, and add a pace like ~4 g/s for the live flow gauge to coach you toward.

  • Three ways to watch

List shows every step in order. Graph is an instrument panel with a live flow chart. Ring is one big dial that's easy to read mid-pour.

Every brew, on the record

weight + flow, every brew

Brewcaddy keeps the scale's readings from the whole brew, not just the final weight, so you can look back at how a cup actually went.

Everyday V60

20 g → 322 g · 3:06
A brew of the starter recipe. The bloom ran its 30 seconds, then each pour topped up to its planned total.
  • Weight and flow over time

A chart for every brew. Lifting the server off the scale mid-brew is smoothed out, so the pour itself stays readable.

  • Planned vs. poured

A step-by-step breakdown puts what you poured next to what the recipe asked for.

  • Manual brews

No recipe today? Tare, start, and pour freely. Brewcaddy still logs the time, final weight, and average and peak flow.

Bring your scale

Bluetooth scales

Brewcaddy talks to your Bluetooth coffee scale directly. Atom Heart's Eclair is fully supported, and ten more scales are in beta.

The reference scale. Tested end to end on real hardware, with native flow rate and battery level.

Built from each scale's public protocol details, but not yet confirmed on the real thing. If yours works (or doesn't), let me know.

  • The scale's own flow reading

On Eclair and BOOKOO (in beta), the live gauge uses the flow rate the scale reports itself, smoothed so it's steady enough to pour by. Other scales derive it from weight.

  • Remembers your scale

Scales you've connected stay in your list, ready to reconnect with a tap. Tare from your phone, and keep an eye on Eclair's battery.

  • No scale yet?

Try a demo brew with a simulated scale to see the whole flow before you buy one.
