Privacy Policy

The short version: NerdBox doesn't collect any data. None. Everything it does happens on your iPhone, and the results go only to accounts you own.

tl;dr

  • We don't collect any data, and there's no account to sign up for.
  • Nothing is sent to us or to any server we run.
  • Everything NerdBox needs to remember stays on your device: sign-in tokens in the iOS Keychain, settings in a local database.
  • No analytics, no tracking, no ads.
  • Apple may or may not collect your usage information, but we do not.

Health Export

  • NerdBox only reads the Apple Health data types you turn on. iOS asks your permission for each one. It never writes to Health.
  • Exports go only to the destination you pick: iCloud Drive, your own Google Drive, or both. They travel straight from your iPhone to your account; we never see them.
  • If you connect Google Drive, NerdBox can only see the files it creates, not anything else in your Drive. The sign-in tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. You can disconnect at any time, or revoke access from your Google Account.
  • AI hand-off builds a prompt that tells an AI assistant where your export lives. It contains no Health measurements (only where the files are, how many types they cover, and their date range), and NerdBox only copies or shares it when you ask. What you do with it, and which assistant you give it to, is up to you.

Calendar Sync

  • Calendar Sync downloads the feeds you add directly from whoever hosts them (for example your clinic's booking system), and copies the events into calendars it creates in your own iCloud account. Feed links and sync state are kept in a database on your device.
  • To make event locations drivable in Maps and CarPlay, Calendar Sync looks up each location's text with Apple Maps. Apple handles those lookups under its own privacy policy.
  • Block busy time is off until you turn it on. It then reads events from the personal calendars you choose and writes plain "Busy" blocks to the one work calendar you pick. Blocks carry no title, notes or location from the original event, and NerdBox never changes other events on that calendar.

Diagnostics

  • Verbose logging in Settings is off by default. If you turn it on, NerdBox keeps a log of its own runs and Apple's MetricKit crash reports, and saves them next to your Health export in your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive, so you can share them when reporting a problem.
  • The log never contains Health values, feed links or event titles. Turning it off deletes the copies on your iPhone.
